CURRICULUM DESIGN:

BACKGROUND

From January through May, I student taught in a third-grade classroom at Penn Alexander School.  It's a K-8 public school in West Philadelphia.  My class has 24 students.

The goal of the term IV assignment, Curriculum Design, was to create an integrated, inquiry-oriented curriculum plan which was to be taught during my two week takeover of the classroom.

My curriculum focused on Immigration: Why do People Leave Home and How do they Create a New Home?
